Shuanglong Li's Bio

Shuanglong Li is Associate Professor of Sociology at Guangzhou University, China. He received a Ph.D. in Sociology from Kyushu University in 2015. His research interests cover Social Mentality, Political Sociology, Sociology of Health, Sociology of Education, and Quantitative Research Methods. His work has appeared in The China Quarterly, Journal of Contemporary China, Social Science and Medicine, Frontiers in Public Health, Social Indicators Research, Frontiers in Psychology, and Chinese Journal of Sociology, etc.
He was a visiting scholar at the Institute of Social Science, the University of Tokyo (September 1 to 29, 2019), Faculty of Social and Cultural Studies, Kyushu University (June 2017 to February 2018), the Universities Center for China Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (May to July 2012), and the Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS), (January to February. 2014). In July 2013, He was awarded a full scholarship from the International Sociological Association (ISA) to participate in the International Laboratory for Ph.D. Students in Sociology at the University of Sydney. From September 2013 to August 2014, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Department of Sociology, Utrecht University (Host: prof. dr. ir. Vincent Buskens). Between October 2010 and March 2015, his study in Japan and the Netherlands was fully funded by scholarships from the European Union Institute in Japan and the China Scholarship Council, for which he is eternally grateful.
